President Paul Kagame shared a viral-ready moment with Kenyan comedian Crazy Kennar on Monday, August 24, agreeing to a quick selfie during a Kigali press briefing.
Kennar, whose real name is Kennedy Odhiambo, made the request while addressing Kagame, recalling advice from his father about the power of digital media.
“Lastly, Mr. President, my father usually says that content can take people places. I just requested a selfie to show him that I met the President of Rwanda,” Kennar said.
Kagame responded with a smile: “I will give you two,” before jokingly adding, “I am as crazy as you.”
Kennar then walked to the front of the venue to capture the moment. As he approached, the President playfully asked whether he was expected to stand up for the photo.
The banter drew laughter from the audience before the two posed for selfies, with Kennar leaning in alongside the President.
“It was an honor to meet the President of Rwanda, His Excellency Paul Kagame, at the Africa Mindset Reset Forum hosted by the Africa School of Governance,” Kennar said after the event on X.

Crazy Kennar is a prominent Kenyan digital content creator, comedian, and entrepreneur recognized for his observational humor and viral political satires.
Beyond his short-form videos, he created Happy Country, a comedy show that blends satire and humor to address social issues.
